Legal document management filed by matter, not by folder tree

Law firms and in-house legal departments need every filing, letter, exhibit, and discovery document findable by matter and client — and restricted to the people working that matter. DocuPro indexes documents by Matter, Client, and Practice Group, keeps every version with the original retained, and lets attorneys annotate, stamp, and sign inside the built-in viewer.

Document types
PleadingComplaints, answers, and motions indexed by matter and court

DiscoveryProductions and responses, split and merged as needed

Index fields are yours to define. Add, rename, or look them up from another system — searches, security rules, and workflow routing all key off the same values.

A workflow that follows your stages

An example of how legal documents move through DocuPro. Stages, tasks, routing, and notifications are configured to match how your team already works.

Stage 01
Draft
Uploaded or printed to DocuPro from Word via the VPD print driver
Stage 02
Review
Routed to the responsible attorney with a review task
Stage 03
Sign
Signature stamp applied in the viewer
Stage 04
Filed
Filed version locked; earlier versions retained

Access decided by the document itself

Users authenticate with Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on. Groups grant what a role can do, folders scope where documents live, and security rules filter by index values. A document a user cannot see never appears in search, queues, print, or export.

Why DocuPro fits legal

Matter-centric filing
Search by matter, client, or attorney and see the whole file — pleadings, filings, discovery, correspondence — in one result set.
Version history with the original retained
Every edit, stamp, and signature is a new version. Revert when needed; the original is never overwritten.
Ethical walls by index value
Security rules keyed on Matter Number or Client keep conflicted attorneys and staff out of a file automatically.
Discovery page tools
Split, merge, rebuild, and stamp productions inside the viewer without a separate PDF tool.

Frequently asked questions

Can DocuPro enforce ethical walls between matters?

Yes. Index-based security rules and folder permissions restrict a matter to the attorneys and staff assigned to it, and hidden documents never appear in search, queues, print, or export.

Does DocuPro keep prior versions of a document?

Yes. Version history is built in, with revert, and the original is always retained.

Can we file directly from Word or Outlook?

Yes. Print any document to the GoDocuPro VPD print driver, or file mail and attachments from the Outlook add-in, indexed by matter on the way in.
